Case Study – Anita Tamang

Impact stories on women Trainees – Anita Tamang

Anita Tamang recently enrolled trainee at JSM, 25 year old worked out of country in Kuwait as a housemaid for two and half months. She mentions that the salary around was okay, Nrs. 30,000 a month, but with many hardships. It was a difficult choice to stay away from a two-year-old daughter then, now she’s 6 years old. As I got divorced with my husband surviving to domestic violence, I had no choice.

I heard from my relatives about the opportunity. I’m very glad to be part of JSM; I’m slowly learning to operate on machines with the techniques. I also enjoy the theory courses and practical sessions very well. The management here at JSM is very friendly and supervises us well.More than anything else, I am pleased to be working in industry in Nepal, knowing the difficulties outside the country. Life is convenient here; opportunities like these encourage young people like us to do work for country.  Life is difficult, being away from children, family and relatives.  I envision myself working with JSM and enjoying a family life.
