Management Opinion from Prem Singh

I am very pleased to be part of the skills growth leading to the jobs project in collaboration with NYMA and Ukaid, including TSM management. In choosing the underprivileged and vulnerable community category, we were very considerate. We have not limited the selection process to the local location, but from the entire province number 2, we have selected those in need.We have a close relationship with local NGOs, women’s organizations and the Forestry Community. Our aim is to get those involved who have so far been unaffected by work. We have a lot of evidence and experience where widow women, single parents, caste-discriminated, economically backward people from the selection process are trained and placed. We saw a great deal of change in these trainees. Our focus is was on ambleshgunj in this province, where we put in the first round’ of selection process and selected 17 women from that location because there is no job except for labor workers, i.e,(Baluwakhanne, gittikutne,). They are now really trained and they feel progressive and empowered. They also have space for profits in the middle of the lockout. We went to the place and helped the job placement; we saw several instances where most of the young people have fled for work to the third World Country without thinking of mothers, wives, and old parents.

There are so many female employees here who have had a shot at TSM, and the situation is fragile. Some of the women are responsible for caring for their old parents, some husbands are drunkard, some with vulnerable in laws, some are responsible for caring for their children. It is the duty of some women to look after their disabled husband. Therefore, we have made sure that we pick right selection, those in need who are vulnerable. They contribute to medical treatment for their families, husbands and children, with the help of the Social Security Fund.

Not just have it changed the life of women, but change in attitude and work culture of TSM too. Output has been strong, proving to be very helpful and efficient and dedicated employees. TSM has never had a previous history of female employee enrollment. But now we’re inspired to go for higher tasks, all thanks to this partnership.
