Nepal Yarn Manufacturers Association is licensed as an umbrella organization of yarn producing industries. It was established in the year 1997. It is currently chaired by Mr. Pawan Golyan from Golyan Group. NYMA mainly aims to promote the interest of industries to continue expanding their production and export capabilities. NYMA at present consists of 4 yarn producing business in Nepal. As per data of 2019, together these firms exported 11 billion annually. Making yarn Nepal’s largest export commodity.
All the associated Yarn industries are public limited company.The companies are professionally managed, technologically advanced spinning mill engaged in manufacturing of international quality Polyester, Viscose, Acrylic and their various blends in grey, dyed and mélange yarn including sewing threads. Together these business houses are one of the leading houses of Nepal business ranging from manufacturing to retail.
Together these industries have a workforce of over 8000 people, Reliance Spinning Mills being one of the largest employer in Nepal. The Industry expects production in coming years from 40,000 ton currently to 80,000 tons. Industry leaders believe that 500,000 jobs can be created in Nepal over next 5 years in textile industry. Comprising value chain from – weaving, spinning, knitting, garment, etc.
