As part of the Women’s Day Celebrations 2021, NYMA’s rationale remained on strengthening the safeguarding commitment, and to honour women workers across all across NYMA’s partner industries who have served with distinction during the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. Without their outstanding services, companies could have faced major loss and even shutdown. Industries on their front made sure they have social protections and adequate safety mechanism to ensure workers’ health and safety. NYMA focused on safeguarding commitment and to build on previous efforts on safeguarding, introduced special safeguarding committees and rolled out grievance forms to strengthen the reporting mechanism at across factory levels. These workers are often carrying a doubt burden- professional working under difficult circumstances; they have in the most challenging circumstances to make sure they produce high-quality productivity. The rationale behind honouring women workers is detailed in our International Women’s Day 2021 at factory level agenda.
The efforts of NYMA on safeguarding still continue.
